axis-taklampa
Axis Ceiling Light — Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort & Co.

The Axis ceiling light is the work of Kelly Wearstler, who designs for Visual Comfort & Co. A ceiling light sets the level of light in a room and is also the first thing you notice. Hung over a table, its lower edge should sit 60–70 cm above the tabletop.

The fitting comes in 3 finishes — Polished Nickel, Antique-Burnished Brass and Bronze. Consider matching it to the other metals in the room. The materials are nickel & chrome.

It is 151.1 cm wide. It weighs 9.1 kg — worth checking against the ceiling mount before installation. Delivery time is 2-8 weeks. This is a larger-format fitting. Over a dining table, you ideally want the width to be roughly half that of the tabletop, so this one suits tables from around 140 cm upwards.

The Axis ceiling light comes into its own in living rooms and dining rooms. Its character leans towards modern design. Choose a warm white bulb of around 2700 K and ideally add a dimmer — the lighting needs to adapt between day and evening.

Lighting is hard to judge from a photo. You are welcome to visit our showroom at Sturegatan 20 and see the fitting switched on.
