colefax-fowler-tyg-porth-stripe
Porth Stripe Fabric — Colefax & Fowler

The Porth Stripe fabric from Colefax & Fowler is based on stripes.

The pattern repeat is 1.0 cm, which makes it a small repeat. The close repeat gives a calm, almost textured surface from a distance. A straight match makes the fabric uncomplicated to make up. Porth Stripe is available in 4 colourways — Blue, Red/Green, Aqua/Beige and Red. The colourways differ more than you might expect; choose according to the light in the room.

The pattern belongs to the Lamorna Chk & Stp - Aut 21 collection.

The fabric is 147 cm wide and woven in a cotton blend. At 50 000 rubs on the Martindale scale, it handles upholstery in a home setting with a good margin.

We recommend Porth Stripe for living rooms and bedrooms. The look carries a classic poise, timelessness and a relaxed touch, on a light ground. Works just as well for curtains as for upholstery — keep the other textiles in the room simple.

The palette is dominated by beige, light and soft in tone with a neutral undertone. Consider which way the room faces — north light pulls colours cooler than they look on screen.

Try the fabric on a piece of furniture with our visualisation tool before you decide. Look at it in both daylight and lamplight, as the tones shift between the two.
