The Jonathan Charles Hammered Iron Bureau Plat with Black Leather Inserts is a carefully crafted desk that turns the obvious into something worth noticing. It belongs to the JC Edited - Anvil collection, which is firmly rooted in robust industrial character. Here reclaimed wood and forged metal accents come together in a design inspired by artisan workshops and industrial aesthetics, and the Hammered Iron Bureau Plat with Black Leather Inserts carries that whole aesthetic forward in its own characterful interpretation. Every detail — from hand-polished surfaces to meticulous veneer work — bears the Jonathan Charles signature: a piece brought to life by the craftsman's hand. At home, the Hammered Iron Bureau Plat with Black Leather Inserts works as a desk of lasting elegance in the home office or library. The proportions are carefully judged so that the piece holds its own without taking over — exactly the balance Jonathan Charles is known for. Styling tip: Position it at right angles to the window for natural light without glare. A classic that feels just as right in an aristocratic English home as in a modern Stockholm apartment.
