morris-co-tyg-helena
Helena Fabric — Morris & Co

The Helena fabric from Morris & Co is based on floral motifs. The house was founded in 1861 as Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co.

The pattern repeat is 51,3 cm, which makes it a medium repeat. The repeat is large enough to be noticed and small enough not to take over. The pattern has a straight match, which simplifies making up. Helena is available in 2 colourways — Peach/Teal and Mineral. The colourways differ more than you might expect; choose according to the light in the room.

The pattern belongs to the Morris and Friends Volume II collection.

The fabric is 135 cm wide and woven in a linen blend. A Martindale rating of 20 000 rubs makes it suitable for upholstery.

We recommend Helena for living rooms and bedrooms. The look carries a classic poise, romantic softness and timelessness, with a light base tone. Works equally well for curtains and upholstery — keep the room's other textiles simple.

The palette is dominated by orange — light and soft in tone, with a warm undertone. Consider which way the room faces — north light makes colours look cooler than they do on screen.

Try the fabric on a piece of furniture with our visualisation tool before you decide. Look at it in both daylight and lamplight, as the tones shift between the two.
