With its sophisticated balance between texture and graphic elegance, the Italian textile house Dedar presents the fabric Alaya. The design draws inspiration from African pattern traditions and translates them into a modern expression in which diamond-shaped geometric lines create a rhythmic play across the entire surface. The weaving technique gives the textile a slightly corrugated texture with almost three-dimensional effects, so that light is beautifully refracted and the metallic tones are brought out. The exclusive yarn blend gives the fabric a stately, heavy drape and a uniquely lively character that transforms the light entering the room.

Alaya is exceptionally well suited to drapes, curtains and decorative cushions, where the tactile depth of the pattern can come into its own.
