With a geometric structure, Owen Jones sits firmly within the Morris & Co design language. The house was founded in 1861 as Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co.
The pattern repeat is 11.0 cm, which makes it a small repeat. The small scale makes the pattern discreet enough to carry a whole room. The pattern is a straight match, which makes hanging simpler. The colourway is Forest.
Owen Jones is part of Morris Volume III from Morris & Co.
Each roll is 52 cm wide and 10.05 metres long, printed on paper. The weight is 150 g/m².
The pattern works particularly well in living rooms and hallways. The look has a classic poise, elegance and closeness to nature, with a medium-light overall tone. Let the wall do the talking and keep the upholstery fabrics calm.
The palette is dominated by green, medium-light and clear in tone with a warm undertone. Keep the room's other textiles at the same temperature and the whole scheme holds together.
