Scandinavian stylish interior design is characterised by light, simple and minimalistic interior design. Rooms should feel airy and bright without unnecessary gadgets, the colour choices are often toned down in earthy shades such as white, grey and beige and the material choices are natural, often in stone, wood and leather. The textiles can be preferably solid colours, preferably in cotton or linen, to create the airy and simple feeling that is often associated with Scandinavian interior design.

Another important aspect of Scandinavian stylish interior design is durability, which is why the material choices are often materials that can benefit from a little patina and that can be found in the Nordic region, such as light woods, leather and stone. Feel free to mix up your interior design with heirlooms or flea market finds to create a personal touch to your interior.
