The Bourdon Stripe fabric from Colefax & Fowler is based on stripes and nature motifs.

The pattern is a straight match, which simplifies making up. Bourdon Stripe comes in 5 colourways — Navy, Olive, Red and Old Blue, among others. The colourways differ more than you might expect; choose according to the light in the room.

The pattern belongs to the Silvano Stripes collection.

The fabric is 148 cm wide and woven in a cotton blend. At 35 000 rubs on the Martindale scale, it handles domestic upholstery with a good margin.

The look has a classic poise, elegance and timelessness, with a dark overall tone. Works as well for curtains as for upholstery — keep the room's other textiles simple.
