The Italian textile house Dedar of Milan often draws its inspiration from classic menswear and the art of tailoring. The fabric Alumnus is a prime example, its inspiration clearly rooted in the sophisticated world of the necktie. The pattern is built from a very dense warp that creates razor-sharp, well-defined stripes against a full-bodied ground. The distinct lines and well-judged proportions of the textile create a timeless yet modern feel that lends furniture and interior details a tailored elegance.
