The curtain fabric Arc-en-ciel from the Italian textile house Dedar in Milan unites a sophisticated craft tradition with a confident, relaxed elegance. The expressive weave takes clear inspiration from classic horsehair textiles, reinterpreted here in a modern way in an exclusive blend of linen and tussah silk. The multicoloured stripe is built up from weft threads of varying density, creating a dynamic, lively interplay between dense areas and a more open structure. The surface has a markedly tactile character in which the natural variations of the yarn are allowed to show, giving every metre its own entirely unique personality.

Thanks to its considered composition and airy structure, Arc-en-ciel has an exceptionally soft, supple drape that is particularly well suited to generous curtain lengths. As light filters through the fabric, the subtle rhythm of the weave emerges and spreads a warm, harmonious atmosphere through the room. Dedar once again shows its outstanding mastery in uniting classic weaving techniques with contemporary design. The muted colourways bring out the soft lustre of the silk and create a restful feel in elegant classic homes as well as pared-back modern settings where quality natural materials are appreciated.
