Behind the Dresser Short wall light is Thomas O'Brien, a designer for Visual Comfort & Co. A wall light lifts the light off the floor and creates shadow and depth. Used in pairs — around a mirror, a painting, a bed — the effect is calmer than overhead lighting.
The fitting comes in 2 finishes — Polished Nickel With Frosted Glass Liner and Bronze With Frosted Glass Liner. It is worth matching it to the other metals in the room. The materials are nickel & chrome and glass.
It measures 12.7 cm wide and 27.4 cm high. It weighs 2.7 kg — worth checking against the mounting point before installation. Delivery time is 2-8 weeks. Its slim width means it takes up little space, which is an advantage in corridors and around mirrors.
The Dresser Short wall light shows to best advantage in the hallway, bedroom and living room. Its expression leans towards Art Deco and classic design. Choose a warm white bulb around 2700 K and ideally add a dimmer — the lighting needs to adapt between day and evening.
Lighting is hard to judge from a picture. Do come into the showroom at Sturegatan 20 and see the fitting lit.
