Textiles with architectural lines and graphic rhythm create a subtle dynamic in a room without taking over. Escher from Jane Churchill, part of the Rousseau - Atmosphere VIII collection, combines a modern chevron pattern with a sophisticated marbled background. The embroidered structure gives the surface an intriguing tactility where matt and lustrous threads meet. The angles and stripes of the pattern draw inspiration from classic Art Deco, but reinterpret it with a pared-back, contemporary expression. The result is a versatile curtain fabric that brings depth, elegance and a well-judged play of shadow to the interior.
