In the upholstery fabric Giardino Di Maggio, the Italian textile house Dedar explores the origins of textile art and the technical possibilities of modern weaving. The design presents an abstract, geometric composition in which irregular stripes and blocks are woven using a double warp and fil-à-fil technique. The result is a lively, expressive texture with no figurative ambitions, where linen is combined with other selected fibres to create a sophisticated play between matt and lustrous areas. Five carefully matched yarn colours are interwoven in a muted palette that brings modern abstract art to life.

The Italian craftsmanship from Milan shows in the fabric's exceptional balance between texture and visual rhythm. Giardino Di Maggio is exceptionally well suited to upholstery, giving chairs, armchairs and sofas alike an architectural yet warm and inviting character in both classic and modern homes. The rich weave adds a contemplative depth to the room and lets the changing light of the day beautifully alter the subtle shimmer of the surface. The textile works superbly in settings where a harmonious connection between contemporary design language, crafted quality and tactile elegance is sought.
