In Hana-bi from Italian house Dedar, historical expertise meets an expressive modern language. The pattern takes its inspiration from classic floral motifs in the archive, reinterpreted here in an entirely new way over a finely judged striped ground. A skilful fil coupé technique with floating weft threads creates a striking texture in which the abstract shapes stand out in noticeable relief with an artistic retro feel. The exclusive blend of materials, including silk and cotton, gives the fabric a wonderful, heavy drape and a sophisticated lustre that changes beautifully depending on how the daylight falls in the room.
