In the Kingswood collection from Jane Churchill we find Hester, a hand-block-printed linen distinguished by its genuinely artisanal, lively character. The traditional technique of hand-carved wooden blocks gives each print mark a subtle variation, creating a living textile surface full of character and charm. The design is built around alternating stripes filled with delicate lace-like ornament, medallion motifs and framing borders of triangular forms. Softly drawn outlines give the pattern a relaxed elegance that brings a timeless, inviting feel to the room.

Woven in pure linen, this fabric offers an outstandingly soft drape that makes it particularly well suited to curtain lengths and drapes. The assured interplay of geometric stripes and detailed pattern elements lets it blend with classic furniture groupings and more pared-back contemporary interiors alike. The collection's well-judged palette moves from muted graphite blue and deep indigo tones to rustic reds on a natural linen ground. Hester is a sophisticated foundation for a harmonious room focused on craft, texture and a cosy textile feel.
