Hooker Furniture Harmony Upholstered Side Chair in Black brings together a considered design language and careful craftsmanship — a dining chair to live with for years. The frame is made of rubberwood and upholstered in fabric, which gives the surface both depth and a tactile presence. The upholstery is generously shaped for long dinners and unhurried afternoons. The Harmony series balances modern and classic, with proportions that work in both country and urban settings. Style it with muted textiles, a sculptural lamp and something living — green plants or a ceramic vase — to let the dining chair breathe. Hooker Furnishings rests on more than a hundred years of American furniture-making, and it shows in how this piece is built — solidly, thoughtfully and with an eye for the small things. Slight variations in the material are natural and add to the piece's individual character. It holds together visually even as the style around it changes over time — a reassuring choice when a home is meant to evolve in stages. A considered investment that proves its quality in everyday life, not just in pictures.
