The Jacques Bachelor's Chest is a chest of drawers that captures Jonathan Charles's signature style: antique-inspired, handbuilt and made to be passed down through generations. It belongs to the JC Modern - Jacques Collection collection, which is firmly rooted in Parisian sophistication. Here polished wood and soft brass come together in a design inspired by the salons of the boulevards, and the Jacques Bachelor's Chest carries that whole aesthetic forward in its own characterful interpretation. Every Jonathan Charles piece passes through the hands of specialist craftsmen — the joiner, the cabinetmaker, the marquetry artisan and the master finisher — before it is ready to leave the workshop. At home, the Jacques Bachelor's Chest works as a statement chest of drawers for the room in the bedroom, hallway or dressing room. The proportions are carefully judged so that the piece holds its own without taking over — exactly the balance Jonathan Charles is known for. Styling tip: Let the handles take centre stage — they are a large part of its character. A choice that rewards a careful eye — the longer you live with the piece, the more you discover.
