Willow Bough Minor was designed in 1887 by William Morris. The pattern is one of the designs that has remained in production ever since, and it is not hard to see why — Morris worked from plants he had in front of him, not from decorative schemes.
The pattern repeat is 23,0 cm, which makes it a small repeat. The close repeat gives a calm, almost textured surface from a distance. A straight pattern match keeps hanging straightforward. The colourway is Privet.
The pattern belongs to the Morris Wallpaper Compilation collection.
Each roll is 52 cm wide and 10,05 metres long, printed on paper. The weight is 158 g/m².
We recommend Willow Bough Minor for living rooms and hallways. Its character combines a classic poise, a closeness to nature and elegance, with a light overall tone. Works both across a whole room and on a single feature wall — the latter is well worth trying in smaller spaces.
Try the wallpaper in your own room with our visualisation tool before you decide. Look at it in both daylight and lamplight, as the tones shift between them.
