The Morris Medium Lantern is designed by Suzanne Kasler for Visual Comfort & Co. The ceiling light carries the ambient light of the room and doubles as a focal point. Over a dining table, allow 60–70 cm between the tabletop and the lower edge of the fixture.
The finish is Polished Nickel With Clear Glass. The materials are nickel & chrome and glass.
It measures 47 cm in width and 66.1 cm in height. It weighs 10.0 kg — worth checking against the ceiling mounting before installation. Delivery time is 2-8 weeks. The size is balanced for standard ceiling heights and works over most dining tables without dominating.
We recommend the Morris Medium Lantern for hallways and living rooms. Stylistically, it sits close to Art Nouveau and classic design. We recommend a dimmable light source with a warm colour temperature, around 2700 K. That is where brass and nickel show their tones at their best.
At Visual Comfort & Co., the finishes are applied by hand, which means no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Small variations in the surface are intentional and part of the character. Suzanne Kasler is one of the designers the house works with.
