Penglai from Nina Campbell's Cathay collection is a large-scale patterned fabric that draws its inspiration from the light, free brushstrokes of Chinese ink painting. The artistic motif depicts joyful birds among blossoming branches and is named after an ancient legend of a magical garden. The airy composition brings a harmonious, poetic feel to the interior, where artistic tradition meets classic British elegance.

The fabric is woven in Austria in a fine quality of sixty per cent cotton and forty per cent linen. This cotton and linen blend gives the fabric a beautiful texture and a soft, fluid drape. With a width of 146 cm and a pattern repeat of 113 cm, Penglai is ideal for tall curtain lengths and decorative cushions, where the large-scale floral motif can take its place without taking over the room.

Penglai is offered in two considered colourways. Charcoal/Sage/Coral gives a muted, natural impression, while Magenta/Green/Lavender offers a more colourful and lively palette. The fabric is perfect for adding colour, texture and a subtle sense of elegance to a bedroom or living room.
