The Italian weaving house Dedar of Milan presents Petra, a sophisticated sheer fabric where time-honoured craftsmanship meets a modern feel for materials. It is woven in an open, well-balanced leno structure in which full cotton yarns are interlaced with sublime metal-reflecting threads. This considered composition produces a lively, tactile and textured surface with a discreet shimmer that catches the changing daylight in the room. The meeting of the full yarn and the open structure creates a fascinating play between light and mass, giving the fabric a truly unique visual weight combined with an airy feel.

Petra is exceptionally well suited to elegant curtain lengths and heavy sheer drapes where light is allowed to filter softly through and form quiet patterns of shadow in the room. The restrained metallic lustre adds a refined dimension of depth that harmonises beautifully in both contemporary and more classically furnished settings. Thanks to its translucent construction, the fabric gives a sense of screening without shutting out the world or diminishing the space. It is a timeless, uncompromising choice if you are looking for a characterful element with both architectural structure and quiet elegance.
