With the sheer fabric Rabdomante, the Milan-based Italian textile house Dedar has created a sublime balance between crisp geometry and crafted softness. The fine material carries a very subtle pattern of woven threads that together form fragmented lines and an abstract expression. The fine, textured embroidery of the surface breaks up every reflection of light in a remarkably lively way and gives each window a sophisticated sense of depth. It is a texture that welcomes natural daylight while softly screening it, bringing a quiet calm to the whole room.

The fine yarn of pure wool, combined with the airy voile weave, gives the fabric an outstandingly soft, heavy and supple drape. Rabdomante is excellent for elegantly draped curtain lengths in modern architectural settings as well as more classic interiors where a muted, natural elegance is sought. With its pronounced tactile texture and harmonious tone-on-tone character, the discreet pattern of the textile becomes a beautiful backdrop that brings out the rest of the furniture and architecture in the room. The result is a timeless piece of textile art that transforms both the light and the feel of a room with an unmistakably Italian sensitivity and eye for detail.
