The Reed ceiling light is the result of Thomas O'Brien's collaboration with Visual Comfort & Co. The ceiling light provides the room's base lighting and acts as a focal point. Over a dining table, allow 60–70 cm between the tabletop and the lower edge of the fitting.
The Reed ceiling light is available in 6 finishes — Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass With Linen Shade and Black Trim, Bronze With Linen Shade and Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass With Linen Shade, among others. The finish matters more than you might think: polished nickel gives a cooler light than brushed brass. The materials are nickel & chrome.
It measures 55.9 cm in width and 78.9 cm in height. It weighs 4 kg — worth checking against the ceiling fixing before installation. Lead time is 2-8 weeks. The size is balanced for normal ceiling heights and works over most dining tables without dominating.
The fitting works particularly well in living rooms and dining rooms. The light source is not included. We recommend a dimmable, warm white bulb of around 2700 K to bring out the best in the metal of the fitting.
We are happy to help with lighting planning — how many light points a room needs and where they should go. Get in touch or visit us in Östermalm.
