The Riverside Large lantern is designed by Visual Comfort & Co. A ceiling light sets the level of light in a room and is also the first thing you notice. Hung over a table, its lower edge should sit 60–70 cm above the tabletop.
The fitting comes in 3 finishes — Polished Nickel With Clear Glass, Antique Nickel With Clear Glass and Bronze With Clear Glass. Consider matching it to the other metals in the room. The materials are nickel & chrome and glass.
It measures 73 cm in width and 108.6 cm in height. It weighs 31.3 kg — worth checking against the ceiling mount before installation. Delivery time is 2-8 weeks. This is a larger-format fitting. Over a dining table, you ideally want the width to be roughly half that of the tabletop, so this one suits tables from around 140 cm upwards.
The Riverside Large lantern comes into its own in hallways and living rooms. Its character leans towards a modern design language. Choose a warm white bulb of around 2700 K and ideally add a dimmer — the lighting needs to adapt between day and evening.
Lighting is hard to judge from a photo. You are welcome to visit our showroom at Sturegatan 20 and see the fitting switched on.
