Behind the Turlington table lamp is Thomas O'Brien, designer for Visual Comfort & Co. A table lamp provides reading light and atmosphere at the same time. Expect the lower edge of the shade to sit at roughly eye level when seated.
The fitting is available in 3 finishes — Polished Nickel With Polished Nickel Shade, Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass With Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass Shade and Bronze And Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass With Bronze Shade. Do match it with the other metals in the room. The materials are nickel & chrome.
It measures 22.2 cm in width and 67.9 cm in height. It weighs 2.3 kg — worth checking against the ceiling fixing before installation. Lead time is 2-8 weeks. Check the height against the table it will stand on — the lower edge of the shade should sit at roughly eye level when seated.
The Turlington table lamp is at its best in studies, hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and offices. Choose a warm white bulb of around 2700 K and ideally connect a dimmer — the lighting needs to be adjustable between day and evening.
Lighting is hard to judge from a picture. Do visit the showroom at Sturegatan 20 and see the fitting lit.
