The Azara pattern from Jane Churchill is a celebration of colour and geometric shapes, clearly inspired by Central Asian textile art. The fabric presents an interlaced composition of patchwork-like squares, each section containing carefully designed ornaments and graphic lines. The rich embroidery is worked in two shades of the same thread in each section, creating a sublime sense of depth, shading and craftsmanship. The cotton and linen blend of the ground gives a soft, characterful texture that allows the colourful motifs to come into their own. The fabric belongs to the Azara collection and brings a continental, elegant look.
