Iris from the Italian fabric house Dedar is a yarn-dyed cotton ottoman in which genuine craftsmanship and subtle elegance come together in a harmonious expression. The fabric's distinctive surface is defined by a structured, lively ribbed construction, enriched by a discreet moiré effect. This living effect catches the light in the room and creates shifting tones that flatter the textile at every hour of the day. During production in Italy, the fabric is guided by hand between heavy cylinders, a traditional method that gives rise to the unique patterning and the characteristic wavy surface. Every metre therefore carries traces of human precision and skilled craftsmanship.

The sophisticated balance between surface texture and soft sheen makes Iris an excellent choice for drapery, refined curtains and other decorative textiles. The quiet movement of the moiré adds a welcome depth to classic country-house settings and confident modern homes alike, without dominating the architecture of the room. With its nuanced palette and timeless Milanese elegance, the fabric offers great scope for creating a cohesive, atmospheric interior in which the quality of the textiles takes centre stage and brings an understated yet unmistakable sense of luxury.
