Within the Gioconda collection, Nina Campbell presents Duccio, an Italian-made velvet with a subtly patinated surface reminiscent of aged metal. The name is inspired by the 14th-century Sienese master painter Duccio, known for timeless works in which gold leaf was combined with wood. The textured material catches the light in a sophisticated way and creates a muted, soft elegance that feels calm yet expressive.

Thanks to a considered blend mainly of viscose and cotton, the fabric has an exceptionally soft feel and a supple drape. With a rub count of 70,000 Martindale, Duccio is suitable for upholstery in demanding settings and works equally well for well-used sofas and armchairs as for heavy curtains and cushions. The fabric has a width of 144 cm and no pattern repeat at all, which simplifies pattern matching when sewing.
