Behind Matthew 40" Pendant is Marie Flanigan, designer for Visual Comfort & Co. A ceiling light sets the room's light level and is also the first thing you notice. Hung over a table, its lower edge should sit 60–70 cm above the top.
The fitting is available in 2 finishes — Soft Brass With Alabaster and Bronze With Alabaster. Consider matching it to the other metals in the room. The material is marble.
The dimensions are 101.6 cm wide and 72.4 cm high. It weighs 60 kg — worth checking against the ceiling mount before installation. Delivery time is 2-8 weeks. This is a fitting in the larger format. Over a dining table, the width should ideally be around half the tabletop, so this one suits tables from about 140 cm upwards.
Matthew 40" Pendant is at its best in the kitchen, dining room and living room. Its expression leans towards a modern design language. Choose a warm white bulb around 2700 K and ideally connect a dimmer — the lighting needs to adjust between day and evening.
Lighting is hard to judge from a picture. Do visit the showroom at Sturegatan 20 and see the fitting lit.
