The Rivers Small pendant is one of Visual Comfort & Co.'s own designs. The ceiling light carries the room's base lighting and acts as a focal point. Over a dining table, allow 60–70 cm between the tabletop and the lower edge of the fitting.
The fitting comes in 3 finishes — Polished Nickel, Soft Brass and Bronze. Ideally, match it to the other metals in the room. The materials are nickel & chrome.
The width is 17,8 cm. It weighs 3,6 kg — worth checking against the ceiling fixing before installation. Lead time is 2-8 weeks. The compact size makes it suitable for grouping — several hung in a row over a kitchen island or a longer table.
The Rivers Small pendant is at its best in kitchens, dining rooms and hallways. Choose a warm-white bulb around 2700 K and ideally add a dimmer — the lighting needs to adjust between day and evening.
Visual Comfort & Co. works with invited designers rather than an in-house studio. That is why the range spans from restrained neoclassical to overtly decorative — each series bears the mark of its creator.
Lighting is hard to judge from a picture. You are welcome to visit the showroom at Sturegatan 20 and see the fitting lit.
