The Tremaine design from Colefax & Fowler is a sophisticated interpretation of the classic flame stitch pattern, refined with exceptional depth and an unusual tactility. In the collection of the same name, Italian weavers have combined soft, variegated chenille with smoother linen and cotton yarns. The result is a rich textile surface with an almost antique character that gives the room a sense of history and quiet luxury.

The soft contours of the geometric design and the shifting lustre of the yarn make the fabric extremely versatile. It hangs beautifully as heavy curtains while having the strength needed to cover armchairs and chairs. As decorative cushions, too, it brings an elevated feel to a sofa arrangement.

Tremaine is offered in five considered colourways, among them muted Old Blue, atmospheric Forest Green and vibrant Red/Blue. The fabric looks beautiful alongside plain linens or dark woods, where its textured surface can take its place and bring balance to the interior.
