With the Zita design, Colefax & Fowler strikes a sophisticated balance between classic textile art and a timeless expression. The fabric, part of the Tremaine collection, carries an intricate zigzag pattern with clear influences from 18th-century tapestry weaves. The richly woven surface is built up from multicoloured threads brought forward in the design, creating a wonderful play of shifting shades and tones. The surface feels both refined and lively, giving the room an elegant and inviting feel.

Despite its detailed, soft texture, Zita has a robust quality that makes it versatile in the interior. It works perfectly as upholstery on antique armchairs and modern chairs alike, but also gives body and a beautiful drape to curtains and scatter cushions. For a harmonious whole, Zita pairs well with muted linens or deep velvets. The design is offered in six coordinated colourways, among them Old Blue, Blue/Taupe, Tomato/Sand and Red/Green.
